Newton's rings is a phenomenon in which an interference pattern is created by the reflection of light between two surfaces—a spherical surface and an adjacent touching flat surface. It is named for Isaac Newton, who first studied the effect in 1717. When viewed with monochromatic light, Newton's rings appear as a series of concentric, alternating bright and dark rings centered at the point of contact between the two surfaces. When viewed with white light, it forms a concentric ring pattern of rainbow colors, because the different wavelengths of light interfere at different thicknesses of the air layer between the surfaces.

Every year, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts a combined three-staged competitive examination known as Engineering Services Examination (ESE) to recruit well deserving officers to fulfill the technical needs of the Government of India. ESE is the most prestigious examination in India and often termed as one of the harshest examination in the world. Therefore cracking this examination is a nightmare for every applicant.
Some of the services through which civil engineers gets the opportunity to serve their country are:
  • Military Engineering Services

Staff Selection Commission
India is a vast democratic country. To run this big democracy slickly, there are numerous departments and ministries under the Government of India. Therefore, it is obvious these departments and ministries need commendable officers to encounter their technical needs. To fulfill this need, Staff Selection Commission conducts an All India SSC Combined Graduate Level (SSC-CGL) examination. The SSC CGL Salary of few grades (Group B posts) are equivelant to some Public Sector Jobs. So it cab be a better choice for Engineers with low competition and no personal interview.
